Instructions to Set-Up Your Unlocked Phone


   
Many smartphones today are UNLOCKED and will work with multiple carriers; however, some are restricted to a single provider and many are not cross compatible.  It is important to make sure you read through the entire listing (prior to purchase) in order to verify compatiblity with your service provider. We advertise our items as clearly as possible and provide all the details you need to locate the right device.

In many cases, the settings in your unlocked device will automatically be configured once you insert your fully activated Sim Card.  However, depending on the device, the carrier and your geographic location, it may be necessary to input some additional information into the smartphone before it will operate as intended. HOW TO ACTIVATE YOUR UNLOCKED PHONE ON AT&T OR T-MOBILE
         

If the phone you purchased is GSM Factory Unlocked then it should be compatible with most GSM carriers (Sim Card based) like AT&T and T-Mobile

However, in some cases you may need to manually enter information into your device in order to make Picture Messaging (MMS) or data (APN) available on your network. To ensure your device is setup properly with your carrier, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Insert your GSM SIM card and turn on the phone.
  2. Activate your device with your carrier by following the instructions on screen.
  3. Once you've finished setup, go to the phone's Settings. (Settings can be accessed from the home screen, the notification menu, or the app explorer depending on your device.)
  4. Choose "Mobile Networks." (With some devices, you may have to choose "More Settings" under "Wireless and Networks" first.)
  5. From here, you should be able to navigate to the “Access Point Names” screen, and manually enter your carrier’s information. To obtain the exact information that needs to be entered, please contact your carrier’s technical support line and ask specifically for assistance in configuring the APN and MMS settings. HOW TO ACTIVATE YOUR VERIZON UNLOCKED PHONE ON AT&T OR T-MOBILE

  1. Insert your GSM SIM card and turn on the phone.
  2. During activation, the phone will prompt you that the SIM card is not Verizon and will give you the option to "Use Wi-Fi Only.” Make this selection and connect to a nearby wireless network.
  3. Once you've finished setup, go to the phone's Settings. (Settings can be accessed from the home screen, the notification menu, or the app explorer depending on your device).
  4. Choose "Mobile Networks." (With some devices, you may have to choose "More Settings" under "Wireless and Networks" first).
  5. From here, you should be able to switch your phone to GSM or Global Mode and access your network.
